Wayne se encuentra con que su novia Cassandra tiene un productor quien graba los temas de su banda. Wayne siente celos por ??l y la esp??a. Aunque ella lo descubre, quien la abandona es Wayne. A partir de este episodio, todos los planes para organizar el concierto se desvarataban, y nadie compraba entradas. Entonces Wayne tiene el mismo sue??o, en el cual Jim Morrison le dice que todo lo que le hab??a dicho era mentira, que las bandas convocadas no ir??an. Pero repentinamente la gente empieza a comprar entradas, y el recital ya estaba organizado, no hab??a bandas, y Cassandra estaba por casarse con su productor. Entonces Wayne la sigue hasta la iglesia y la reconquista. Al llegar a Aurora, las bandas segu??an sin aparecer, hasta que Aerosmith, que hab??a hecho una aparici??n al principio de la pelicula, aparece repentinamente y el concierto es un ??xito.

Wayne Campbell (Myers) und Garth Algar (Carvey) senden im Kabelfernsehen eine Show aus ihrem Keller in Aurora, Illinois (einem Vorort von Chicago). Beide leben noch bei ihren Eltern, gehen gerne auf Partys, spielen Streethockey und hoeren gerne Heavy Metal. Eines Tages entdeckt der Produzent Benjamin Kane (Rob Lowe) die Show, und nimmt die beiden unter Vertrag. Nach und nach versucht er die Show professioneller zu gestalten, wodurch aber speziell die Elemente verloren gehen, die die Show urspruenglich ausmachten. Als Wayne das bemerkt, ist es aber schon zu spaet – zusaetzlich macht Benjamin auch noch seiner Freundin, der Rockerin Cassandra (Tia Carrere), den Hof. Der Film bietet drei verschiedene Endszenarien an.
