Trama: Da un antro situato sulla cima del monte Crumpit, a nord della cittadina chiamata Kinonsò, un cavernicolo osserva il frenetico viavai degli abitanti, i Nonsokì, che ancora una volta si preparano a festeggiare degnamente il Natale. Il cavernicolo si chiama Grinch ed è scorbutico, fastidioso, sgarbato, soprattutto stufo di questa allegra aria di festa. Nessuno sa perché il Grinch è così irritabile.
