Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption is a PC role-playing game released on June 7, 2000 by Activision. The game follows the adventures of a French crusader, Christof Romuald, through Prague and Vienna in the Dark Ages and modern-day London and New York City. The game is based on the pen-and-paper roleplaying game Vampire: The Masquerade.

In the game\'s storyline, the protagonist Christof falls in love with a nun named Anezka who tends his wounds after he falls in battle. Christof, not fully recovered, ventures into the Bonn Silver Mines (near Prague) to kill Ahzra the Unliving, a twisted Tzimisce vampire. His glorious return to Prague doesn\'t go unnoticed by the local vampire leaders and soon he is \"embraced\" (turned into a vampire) by Ecaterina the Wise, leader of the Brujah clan, as to boost the ranks of vampires in preparation for a brewing battle between vampire clans. Having been made one of the undead, the passionate crusader has to realize that he deviated from his religious mission long ago; being only a mundane soldier, he was easy prey for the vampires. His rebellious nature, however, urges him to find a way to redeem his soul, perhaps by regaining his mortal state. But before long, in a move designed to torment Christof (in retaliation for dispatching Ahzra), the nun is kidnapped and turned into a ghoul, a servitor to vampires addicted to vampire blood. This changes Christof\'s part in the course of events, since he is now being wracked with guilt as he feels his affection towards Anezka led her down a path of sin. Christof swears to face the vampires who took her and restore her life as human.

In his quest, being a powerful vampire, he must learn to conquer his dark side and gain experience with his new powers (vampiric disciplines, similar to spells) to fight against a world of darkness that unfolds before him, as he learns more about this new world he is now a part of, while struggling to maintain his humanity and the faith he once had as a holy knight.

In a climactic battle he is buried under tons of rubble, only to awaken centuries later in the modern world, uncovered by an archeological dig, and faced by a whole new series of challenges – including as a fearsome new enemy whose actions may well doom the entire world. Christof eventually finds the vampires responsible for the kidnapping of his love only to find the pure woman of God that he fell in love with is now a twisted, violated creature of the night who shuns him as an emotional weakling, serving to an Infernalist Tzimisce plotting to avert Gehenna by destroying all the Antediluvians. The game sports three different possible outcomes, depending on certain choices in the game which affected Christof\'s humanity level either negatively or positively.

Twelve of the thirteen great vampire clans (from the original storytelling game) feature in Redemption, in one form or another. The only exception are the Ravnos, a nomadic clan of Roma (Gypsy) background.

Qui la sua strada di interseca con quella di Vukodlak, un matusalemme Tzimisce in torpore che sta cercando di risvegliarsi grazie anche all\'aiuto di Anezka, divenuta sua schiava. Christof riesce a impedire il risveglio di Vukodlak, ma il crollo del castello lo fa cadere in un torpore lungo quasi 800 anni.

Si risveglierà infine nel mondo moderno, scoperto da una squadra di archeologi agli ordini della Società di Leopold. Troverà nuovi compagni, ma alla fine rincontrerà il suo caro amico Wilhem, che lo aveva dato per morto otto secoli prima. Da Londra a New York, in un crescendo di battaglie che coinvolgono nuovi clan, spettri, lupi mannari, ed oggetti dal potere straordinario, la trama lentamente si dipana, fino allo scontro finale per la salvezza del mondo nella Cattedrale di Carne di New York, allo scoccare del III millennio.

Il videogioco è basato sul gioco di ruolo cartaceo Vampiri: la masquerade. Parte dalla versione Vampiri: i secoli bui, ed arriva all\'epoca moderna dominata da Camarilla e Sabbat, a cui è stato dedicato poco spazio, essendo il gioco essenzialmente incentrato sulla vita di Christof, molto epico, ed avulso dalle lotte di potere tipiche del gioco in epoca moderna. La grafica, ottima e fluida al tempo, mantiene un aspetto intrigante e rimane tuttora valida. Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption include un interessante modalità multigiocatore, con la quale è possibile creare delle vere e proprie storie, con tanto di funzione di narratore, come per il gioco cartaceo. Esiste una nutrita comunità che organizza stagionalmente delle avventure di ruolo.

Il gioco non presenta particolari bachi, la maggior parte dei quali sono stati tuttavia risolti con due patch, la 1.01 e la 1.02. Il gioco si divide in due parti, medievale e moderna, con modalità di gioco sostanzialmente differenti. Il gioco ha ottenuto un buon successo di critica, sia dai giocatori del gioco cartaceo, sia dai neofiti, anche se, hanno fatto notare, si sente la mancanza della possibilità di scelta del clan. Il gioco va tuttavia inquadrato essenzialmente nello stile epico, che si discosta molto dalle avventure classiche. Il gioco successivo, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, ha cercato di cogliere maggiormente questi aspetti, ma ha ottenuto un successo molto più limitato, sia per la mancanza di una modalità multigiocatore, sia per la mancata epicità nella trama, molto inferiore a quella di Redemption.

The Revised Edition, sometimes alternately referred to as the Third Edition by fans, was released in 1998 and explains, "the setting of Vampire is a composite of its populace and their despair." The title of the series comes from "The Masquerade", referring to the Camarilla's attempts to hide vampirism from humans and their governments and media.[2] It also serves as a double entendre, referring to vampires' efforts to convince themselves that they are not the monsters they have become. The game uses the cursed and immortal Vampiric condition as a backdrop to explore themes of morality, depravity, the human condition (or appreciation of the human condition in its absence), salvation, and personal horror. The gloomy version of the real world that the Vampires inhabit, called "The World of Darkness", forms an already bleak canvas against which the stories and struggles of characters are painted. The themes that the game seeks to address include retaining the character's sense of self, humanity, and sanity, as well as simply keeping from being crushed by the grim opposition of mortal and supernatural antagonists and, more poignantly, surviving the politics, treachery and often violent ambitions of their own kind. Vampire is based on the Storyteller System. In addition to the general Storyteller rules, it uses a number of specific mechanics aimed towards simulating the vampiric existence. A vampire has a blood pool signifying the amount of human blood or vitae currently in their body; this blood can be spent to power abilities and perform supernatural tricks. These tricks simulate many of those portrayed on film, such as turning into animals or mist, sleeping in the ground or having unnatural charisma and powers of suggestion. Close to the central theme of the game is the Humanity mechanic. Each vampire has a Humanity score, measuring how closely in touch with his human nature the vampire is; as it decreases, the vampire becomes more susceptible to his Beast, the feral side of the vampiric soul that is driven entirely by rage and hunger. Brutal, immoral actions risk lowering a vampire's Humanity score. If the individual's Humanity drops to zero, the Beast takes over and the vampire is in a state of constant frenzy known as Wassail. Like ActivisionΓ��s Vampire: The Masquerade Γ�� Redemption, Bloodlines is set in White Wolf, Inc.Γ��s Vampire: The Masquerade universe, but it is not a sequel to the earlier game. The game allows the player to choose one of several different vampire clans and progress through the game according to the different strengths and weaknesses of the playerΓ��s character, as in its paper and pencil role playing origins. Bloodlines is notable for being the first game along with Half-Life 2 to use ValveΓ��s Source engine, which allows the game to be played from either the first-person or third-person shooter perspective. There were many technical and playability bugs in the first version of Bloodlines, but none were judged to be serious enough to delay shipping the game. After Bloodlines was released to the public, Activision compiled a list of problems customers were reporting to its customer service department and on various Vampire websites. It then authorized Troika to spend a week creating a patch to address the most serious issues. However, Troika's inability to find revenue from another project had already forced the developer to lay off all its employees in two waves, except for the three owners: Jason Anderson, Leonard Boyarsky and Tim Cain. Despite this, several employees continued to work without pay on the Version 1.2 patch, which after three weeks was released on December 22, 2004. Unable to find additional work, Troika disestablished in February 2005,leaving behind an essentially unfinished game with numerous remaining bugs. Fans of Bloodlines continued to create and release unofficial patches to address this situation. This is a new Release of Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. While the original release and many other releases did contain all the necessary files for a clean install of Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, they were flawed by Vista installation problems, stability issues, crack problems, and poor documentation. By converting the content to a portable steam format with a single installer, providing working cracks and better documentation, and including the Official and Unofficial Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines patches, these issues have been resolved. Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, is one of the best RPG's to come into existence and is a tribute to the unpaid work of its former developers at Troika. This release is intended to provide accessibility to those individuals who found difficulty in utilizing the Federation's original Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines release. It has the advantages of being portable, smaller, updated (to the newest Unofficial patch) and shows increased stability. Despite the clunky combat and other shortcomings, there's a rich world to explore in Bloodlines, an RPG that allows you to indulge your inner vampire.

I know you all without Radeon and Nvida graphics cards can't play it because of the black flashing screens, and the fact it crashes, but i found a solution.
It's called the "3D Analyzer" It's included in the "Patch" file.

MAKE SURE YOU READ THE "READ ME!"

It is an "OPEN" FILE!!! Not "reloaded" or compressed!! Take it as it is!

Patch then crack! I have the latest 4.8 unofficial patch.
