Ben Stiller was funny as always and Vince Vaughn was surprisingly funny. Stiller plays White Goodman and he is the snobbish owner of his up-to-the-style Globo Gym whereas Vaughn plays Peter La Fleur and he is the owner of Average Joe's. The gyms find out that there would be a dodgeball tournament held in a few weeks with a grand prize of fifty thousand dollars. Average Joe's need that money or else the gym goes to Globo Gym. The gyms ended up going and making it to the finals. But who wins? The movie will tell you that. All of the supporting actors were funny especially Rip Torn as Patches O'Houlihan. It's a nice change of pace from the last Blackalicious album which was trying a little too hard at crossing over, this one is a more straight forward affair. There's a nice chemistry between Gift of Gab and Lateef, both MC's trade verses pretty well and it really sounds like they were meant to rap together. On the production side Headnodic brings a much different sound than Chief Xcel, it's hard to really break down his production style because he uses a bunch of different style of beats but the whole project does have a cohesive feel. The rhymes are pretty tight (altho Gift of Gab doesn't really go off), the beats are pretty good so on the whole I'd say that this is a pretty nice album.
