The route has been slightly simplified to ease operation however all main lines are faithfully represented. Layout designer: Tokkyu40< Kaanapali, lahaina, & pacific Better known as the Sugar Cane Train, the KL&P hauls passengers on its 3' 6" gauge, 4.5 mile route along the shores of the Hawaiian island, Maui. as there is not too much talk during the film, so you can enjoy it with its nice music like an aquarium or a relaxing
screensaver. Of course this does not mean that this double layout is in any way inferior or less detailed than the other ones.

Tom Snyder has the only multi-level, scale-detailed Standard gauge layout
we have ever seen, and it's gorgeous. Never before have classics like the 400E, Olympian, National Limited, and the
Hiawatha pranced about in such realistic scenery - mountains, groundcover, tunnels and trees. Accessories include
the Power Station, Hellgate Bridge, Terrace Station, and many more - even two loops for the Lionel Race Cars and
a Snow Village Christmas scene. The layout was created by industrial designer John Kitterman. John has designed layouts
for Lionel and Neil Young, and incorporated modeling techniques on Tom's Standard gauge normally associated only with

In 1995, Frank Sinatra sold his Rancho Mirage, California compound to Canadian businessman Jim Pattison.
Mr. Pattison kept the Sinatra estate just as "Mr. S" left it, including the full-size train depot that holds
the collection of Lionel trains. TM was granted exclusive rights to film the layout in July 2002.

The layout is reminiscent of Lionel's legendary 1949 showroom layout. Mr. Sinatra duplicated the famous two-level
station scene and also has a dog bone-shaped upper level. The action includes trains from all three eras of
Lionel production plus the museum-quality setting of the room.

Great Lionel Layouts, Parts 1
First stop is the layout and collection of Fritz Von Tagen. His collection features just about every known variation
of the Lionel Hudson (and one that isn't known) plus a number of prototypes. The train action features rare Hudsons
(including three passenger sets at one time!), the UP M10,000, Williams Southern Pacific steamer, Lionel Halloween Set,
a Standard Gauge GG-1 set and many more.

Merle Levitt's multi-gauge, multi-level layout features the California Zephyr, State Set, Blue Comet, Rail Chief,
SP F-3 Set, plus other favorites from the '80s and 90s. Merle also has a fine collection of toys and Buddy L trucks.
Also included are highlights from the Tom Snyder - Tom McComas CBS-TV Christmas Special, including more on that
one-of-a-kind C&O Huson TM presented to TS.

Great Lionel Layouts, Part 2
Stars of the show are the multi-gauge layout of Chris Rohlfing and Seth Giem's scale-detailed o gauge layout located
in the train barn in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Chris operates five loops of O gauge surrounded by one Standard Gauge, See Lionel Legends like the Blue Comet
and State Set plus modern era standouts like the blue and orange Lionel Lines set, GS-2, Conrail SD-60 plus many more.
Highlights of the Train Barn layout include a 160-foot suspension bridge and over 200 scale structures, many scratch-built
by Seth, a master model-maker. Train action includes the UP M10,000, 773 Hudson, C&O SD-40 and other classics from all eras.
Also included is the heartwarming story of Glen Pinta. In 1991, Glen was diagnosed with colon cancer.
Today he has a clean bill of health and he credits the building of this layout for helping him to beat cancer.

Since 1941, four generations have been thrilled and delighted by the museum s impressive train exhibit.
In 2002, an all-new train exhibit was introduced. Both kids and grown-ups greeted it with great enthusiasm.
The display shows the importance of railroads today by focusing on four major functions intermodal transportation,
passenger service, transporting grain, and moving raw materials. Each of these stories is told by taking visitors
on a 2200 scale-mile journey between Chicago and Seattle.

This is the real thing! Over 60 min showing a very professional European Marklin layout in H0 scale depicting different themes ranging
from urban to industrial and many familiar scenes from Germany.
The Model Layout featured here can be found in Merklingen/Germany. It has over 700m of track and is about 120m2 in size.
If you are thinking about building your own model train layout then this DVD will definitely give you a lot of inspiration to start your own project.
Then again, if you never had the space to make it happen, lean back and enjoy the view...
There are moments when you can hardly tell it apart from the real thing, especially in the well lit industrial scenes.

As an extra you can find many scenes with the legendary Big Boy steam engine from the US pulling lengthy freight trains through the European scenery.
