[color=yellow][b]Madrid en corto[/b][/color] es un programa promovido por la Consejería de Cultura y Turismo de la Comunidad de Madrid y gestionado por la Oficina de Promoción de la ECAM, para la difusión y promoción de los cortometrajes producidos en la Comunidad de Madrid.
Desde el año 2005 se seleccionan, durante la Semana del Cortometraje de la Comunidad de Madrid, una selección de cortometrajes que formaran parte del programa.

[color=yellow][b]Madrid en corto[/b][/color] contempla una serie de acciones dirigidas a la difusión y el apoyo a estos cortometrajes:

• Elaboración y edición de una carpeta promocional con un DVD (en inglés y francés) y toda la documentación en soporte digital.
• Página web con las fichas y fotografías de cada cortometraje.
• Subtitulado al inglés de una copia de cine en 35 mm para las proyecciones internacionales del programa.
• Distribución e inscripción de los cortometrajes en diferentes festivales y eventos cinematográficos de todo el mundo.

[color=yellow][b]Madrid en corto[/b][/color] supone un apoyo a los nuevos realizadores y productores, una decidida apuesta por la difusión del audiovisual producido en la Comunidad de Madrid.

[color=yellow][b]Madrid en Corto[/b][/color] is a program promoted by Consejería de Cultura y Turismo from the Community of Madrid and managed by the Oficina de Promoción from ECAM, with the objective of spreading and promoting short movies produced in the Community of Madrid. Since 2005, the short movies completing this program are selected from The Short Movie Week of the Community of Madrid.

[color=yellow][b]Madrid en Corto[/b][/color] develops several actions in order to spread and support those short movies:

• Creation and edition of a promotional folder with a DVD (in English and French) and documentation in digital version.
• Website with a description and photos of each short movie.
• English Subtitled version of a cinema copy of 35 mm. used for international projections of the program.
• Distribution and registration of the short movies in different film festivals and events all around the world.

[color=yellow][b]Madrid en corto[/b][/color] means a support for new film directors and producers. Furthermore, it is a clear compromise with the audiovisual production in the Community of Madrid.

Depuis 2005, les courts-métrages qui forment partie du programme sont choisis pendant la Semaine du Courts-métrages de la Communauté de Madrid.

Como director ha realizado el largometraje Nadie conoce a nadie (1999), el telefilme Regreso a Moira (2006) y el cortometraje Allanamiento de morada (1998). Actualmente prepara su proyecto Blackthorn.

Mateo Gil is know as a screenwriter, having taken part in El Método (The Method, Marcelo Pyñeiro; 2005) and several of Alejandro Amenábar´s movies. For instance: Mar adentro (The sea inside, 2003) and his last project Agora. He has also directed the film Nadie conoce a nadie (Nobody knows anybody, 1999), and the tv movie Regreso a Moira (Spectre, 2006). He also directed the short movie Allanamiento de morada (Hosebreaking, 1998). Nowadays, he is preparing his next film Blackthorn.

Ha sido director de casting (Sud express, de Chema de la Peña; Amateurs de Gabriel Velázquez) y Director del Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes Almería en Corto. Además como director cuenta con Joe K., cortometraje documental nominado al Goya.

Óscar de Julián born in Madrid and a graduate of Spanish phiIology. His screenwriting work includes the feature films Shacky Carmine and From Salamanca to Nowhere, directed by Chema de la Peña. He has worked as a casting director (Sud express, de Chema de la Peña; Amateurs, Gabriel Velázquez) and he is also the director of the Almería International Shortfilm Festival. He directed Joe K, documentary shortfilm nominated to a Goya.

Óscar de Julián est né à Madrid. Il obtient sa licence en Philologie Hispanique.Il écrit des scripts pour Chema de la Peña, entre eux Shacky Carmine et De Salamanque à nulle part (nominé au Goya comme Mieux Long-métrage Documentaire). Il aussi dirigé des castings (Sud Express, Chema de la Peña et Amateurs de Gabriel Velázquez) el il est le directeur du Festival International de Courtemétrages Almería). Joe K est son premier film comme réalisateur, documentaire nommé aux Prix Goya du cinéma espagnol.

Martín Costa comienza su contacto con el medio a los quince años estudiando interpretación. Cuatro años después se da cuenta de que ser actor no es lo suyo: se pasa al otro lado de la cámara, combinando la carrera de imagen y sonido con la realización de cortometrajes. Tras varios años en Canal +, inicia su carrera como free-lance. Realiza y escribe documentales, spots, series de tv y cortometrajes, con los que recibe premios y, sobre todo, viaja por el mundo. Su pasión por la profesión se centra en tres aspectos: la narración de una historia, la dirección de actores y la relación humana con el equipo.

Matin Costa. His first contact with the cinema is on the early 80s in Spain studying interpretation. In 1990 he realizes that being an actor is not what he wanted. He studied audiovisual comunication while starting to make shortfilms. Between 1995 and 2000 he works as a filmmaker, and screenwriter in Canal +. After this television experience he began his career as a freelance. He directs and writes documentaries, advertisements, TV series and the shortfilms. Passion for this profession focuses on three aspects: the narration of a story, the actors´direction and the human relation with the technical team.

Martin Costa. Ses premiers contacts avec le cinema commence à quinze ans, au début des années 80 en Espagne, comme étudiant d´interprétation. En 1990 in se rend compte qu´il ne veux plus être acteur, il passe de l´autre côté de la caméra. Il suit le cursus image et son et en parallèle commence à realiser des court metrages. Entre 1995 et 2000 il travaille au sein de Canal + comme rélisateur mais aussi comme scénariste. Après cette expérience dans le monde de la télévision il entame une carrière free-lance. Il réalise et écrit des documentaires), spots, series de tv et des courtmétrages. Sa passion pour la profession se centre dans trois aspects: la narration d´une histoire, la direction d´acteurs et la relation humaine avec l´équipe.

Juan Gautier, Licenciado en Comunicación Audiovisual por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, nace en esta ciudad en 1976. Comienza trabajando en cine como auxiliar de dirección a los dieciocho años. Desde entonces ha trabajado en televisión, videoclips, publicidad, cortometrajes y documentales como realizador, actividad que compagina con la docencia y la música.

Juan Gautier, born in 1976, has a B.A. in Audio-visual Communication from the Complutense University in Madrid. When Juan was 18 years old, he started out as a Directing Assistant for films. He then worked in tv, videoclips, spots, short films and documentaries as a film maker.

Juan Gautier, diplôme en communication audiovisuel à l´Université Complutense de Madrid, né à Madrid en 1976. Il début le cinéma à l´age de dix huit ans en travaillant comme auxiliaire réalisateur. Il a travaillé dans la télévision, il a été réalisateur de vidéo clips, et de films documentaires, il a concilié ces activités avec l´enseignement et la musique.

Eduardo Chapero-Jackson nació en Madrid en 1971, de padre español y madre norteamericana. Entre 1989 y 1996 estudia Bellas Artes y Cine en Nueva York. Vuelve a España para trabajar como freelance y exponer su obra fotográfica. En 1997 entra en Sogecine donde ejerce de coordinador de producción y director de desarrollo de guiones. Deja la compañía en 2005 para dedicarse a diversos proyectos, entre ellos Contracuerpo, su primer cortometraje.

Eduardo Chapero-Jackson was born in Madrid in 1971, of a spanish father and an american mother. He studied fine arts and filmmaking in New York. In 1996, he returned to Spain as a freelance and started exhibiting his artwork. From 1997 to 2004 he worked at one of Spain´s leading production companies, Sogecine. In the meantime, he studied for four years acting and directing. Left Sogecine in 2005 to continue his writing and directing career. Contracuerpo (2005) is his first 35mm short film.

Excellent technical death metal album. Vortex are severely underdiscussed, they\'re so damn good. His vocals are extremely similar to Chuck Schuldiner\'s during Death\'s early albums.

When you ask a westerner about bands from Asia, you would normally get answers like Sigh, Chthonic, Anthelion, and Infernal Revulsion but you would rarely hear the name Vortex. I’m quite surprised that this band never got fame in the west. Not to mention the lack of reviews on the web. This band, Vortex is one of the craziest jazz death bands I’ve ever heard.

Why do I say this band is crazy? The high technicality of this band of course! The first track, Stigma comes blasting in with furious double pedals but comes in with a cheerful sounding jazz riff, all distorted. The jazz riff then gets overwhelmed by death metal riffing and vocals. A jazzy guitar solo is also thrown in the mix and makes you feel blurry and not sure whether are you listening to metal track or a jazz fusion track. The next track comes in with a punk rock riff. This track has a slight metalcore touch but there are no clean vocals here. The fast paced double pedals are intact. The third track then transcends into a cross of cheerful sounding death metal and again, jazz. The fourth track, “Blind Faith” probably has the craziest stop start drumming of all. Think Decapitated’s Sphere of Madness drumming as the chorus of this track whiles the vocalist growls out “Blind Faith” a couple of times.

As I make my way to the second half of this album. I noticed a track with the title called “My Love”. I wasn’t so optimistic about it and I realized that my “instincts” were wrong. There’s a voice sample here done by a lady by the name of Golnaz Bahmnyal. I don’t know who she is but when she says \"The only way to escape from blue isolation is
to close my eyes and imagine me dying...\" the whole song transcends into a sad aura. Clean vocals come in courtesy of another person by the name of Timothy Baldwin. I don’t know who he is but the vocal resembles Dream Theatre’s Kevin James. The next 2 tracks are medium paced jazz rock fusion songs topped with metal vocals. The concept here is very interesting in my opinion. Whilst all the other 7 tracks are death metal-jazz fusions, the last track “Quest for the Endless Martyrium” is a pure jazz fusion track. There are no growled vocals but there are clean vocals. Due to his accent, this last track takes time to get used to. Pianos are used too in this track. This track is just like the ending credits of a movie. After watching all the action throughout a movie, a slow track calms the person down as the person walks out of the theatre.

To sum all things up, this album should be listened as a whole. There is an intro, the climax and a happy calm ending. Think listening to this as watching an epic movie. Another thing, the movie may be Japanese but the languages used are in English and doses of German. Think how Jackie Chan had to speak English in his movies. His accent won’t kill you.

This is the last day I post the JSTV feed since they cut off the first 30 minutes of the basho. My friend who was providing the JSTV feed was having problems with thier service so I decided to order TV Japan and do it all myself. Starting at Day 10 upto day 15 I will be posting the full 2 hour TV Japan version. The full 15 day July basho will be the full 2 hour broadcast from TV Japan with english audio. Also some people have emailed me regarding the large file size, I can encode the highlight show which has just the bouts and japanese audio at a lower filesize as I did with Day 1. If there is enough interest I will post the full english version and highlight show otherwise I will just stick with the 2 hour english version.
