Decisa a proseguire da dove lui era arrivato, Lara deciderà di seguire gli indizi disseminati dal genitore prima della sua morte.<br /> Durante la ricerca scoprirà che luoghi storici, mentre mitologia e mistero si incrocierYears in quello che è un grande disegno che potrebbe aiutarla a tornare sulle tracce della madre…<br /> <br /> <br /> Ambientazioni<br /> <br /> Parlando di Tomb Raider i punti focali dei quali discutere non possono che essere comparto tecnico, controlli, level design e bilanciamento tra enigmi ed azione.<br /> Per quanto riguarda le ambientazioni esplorabili, da sempre tra le prime caratteristiche ad essere valutate, bisogna sottolineare come le locazioni siano molto varie e ben realizzate.<br /> Evitando il più possibile spoiler, ci limitiamo a parlare delle località già pubblicizzate sul sito ufficiale del gioco o viste nei trailer pubblici, citando solo i passaggi della Plot noti senza rivelare null’altro.<br /> Il gioco parte in maniera piuttosto particolare rispetto allo stile classico della serie: inizieremo, infatti, la nostra avventura con Lara in fuga dalla propria villa. La sessione è in realtà un tutorial per apprendere i comandi di gioco, dato che ci permetterà di usufruire di ognuna delle sue abilità. Tra queste torna il lancio del rampino, il cui utilizzo scopriremo essere determinante lungo tutta l’avventura.<br /> Da qui partirà un flashback che ci porterà a vivere il primo vero livello di Tomb Raider Underwolrd che sembra volerci stupire portandoci nelle acque del Mar Mediterraneo, in una sezione subacquea: esploreremo, infatti, i fondali marini, risolvendo i primi semplici enigmi, per addentrarci poi in un’ immensa caverna sommersa che metterà per la prima volta alla prova le nostre capacità di esploratori, e che ci porterà presto a sfidare esseri imponenti, sino a scoprire dell’esistenza di un legame tra Thor, il Dio dei fulmini, e numerose civiltà sino a quel momento considerate estranee al mito.<br /> Tornati sul livello dell’acqua, vivremo la scena della nave che ha incuriosito i fan grazie a screenshot e blog ufficiali; qui ci troveremo ad esplorare l’intera imbarcazione, in una fase molto action che mescola momenti stealth ad acrobatiche sparatorie, sino ad una fuga rocambolesca di grande impatto visivo. Probabilmente un livello che potrebbe far storcere il naso a chi vuole vedere Lara impegnata in ambientazioni naturali, ma la brevità dello stesso lo rende più che altro un movimentato diversivo, peraltro abbastanza divertente.<br /> La Plot si infittirà, invece, quando torneremo alla residenza Croft al termine del flashback; qui esploreremo i sotterranei della villa, rimanendo basiti per la complessità delle strutture presenti e scoprendo che parte di quello che cercavamo era proprio sotto i nostri occhi..<br /> Il Messico del Sud è tra le ambientazioni meglio realizzate, anche grazie all’impegno dei grafici nel fotografare dal vivo le rovine Maya presenti ad Uxmal e nello Yucatan, per poterne ricreare al meglio strutture e texture. Le ambientazioni messicane sono particolarmente ben riprodotte e vaste; ci troveremo quindi per la prima volta a spostarci con l’ormai celebre Ducati di Lara, capace di percorrere agilmente qualsiasi terreno. Grazie a questo mezzo ci inoltreremo nei meandri di una città sotterranea, dove otterremo l’ennesimo oggetto della nostra ricerca, e scopriremo nuovi importanti legami tra mito e storia.<br /> La moto da qui in poi avrà una certa importanza, dato che sarà il mezzo che utilizzeremo anche per addentrarci in lande innevate, sino a caverne sempre più profonde e misteriose che mostrerYears ancora una volta dei sigilli di origine non-umana...<br /> <br /> <br /> Gameplay e controlli<br /> <br /> Per quanto riguarda gameplay ed il sistema di controllo, la struttura e le funzionalità sono rimaste inalterate rispetto a Tomb Raider Legend ed Anniversary, fatto salvo per il sistema di quick time event, ora non più presente.<br /> Utilizzando i tasti direzionali sarà possibile scegliere di accendere la torcia elettrica utile nelle sezioni più oscure, utilizzare uno dei medikit presenti nel proprio inventario, oppure ricorrere al binocolo per cogliere alcuni Other informations dell’ambientazione diversamente non visibili a occhio nudo. Il parco armi è il classico della serie ed Yearsvera le normali pistole con colpi infiniti, la classica coppia di mitragliette, un fucile a pompa e un fucile d’assalto. Ci sono poi la pistola sedativa, per addormentare le bestie feroci presenti nella giungla senza doverle necessariamente uccidere, ed il fucile subacqueo per difendersi più efficacemente dagli squali.<br /> Se tutto questo non bastasse a fermare i nemici più ostici, potremo utilizzare particolari granate che si incollerYears sul bersaglio colpito per poi detonare realizzando grandi danni.<br /> In Underworld farà il suo ritorno anche l’”Adrenaline Mode”, per mezzo del quale si riuscirà a rallentare l’azione di gioco, attraverso le ormai consuete sequenze bullet-time, ed effettuare efficaci colpi alla testa rendendo i combattimenti molto meno dispendiosi in termini di proiettili e energia.<br /> Ottima presenza la possibilità di sollevarsi su aste sospese cercando l’equlibrio, e soprattutto quella di poter saltare su pareti ravvicinate, per salire rimbalzando di parete in parete. Due possibilità che combinate innalzano letteralmente le possibilità di level design.<br /> Il bilanciamento tra azione, puzzle ed esplorazione appare ben calibrato, riuscendo a tenere alto l’interesse del giocatore lungo l’arco dell’intera avventura.<br /> Da segnalare che, qualora l’utente Pc avesse a disposizione un Pad per Xbox 360, questo si autoconfigurerà automaticamente, mostrando persino nelle indicazioni su schermo i tasti corrispondenti del controller.<br /> <br /> <br /> Grafica ed Audio<br /> <br /> Tecnicamente parlando, Tomb Raider Underworld è un ottimo titolo che presentano aspetti positivi cui se ne affiancano altri negativi. In generale la resa visiva è davvero ottima: qualunque area visiteremo è curata nei minimi Other informations, sia per quanto riguarda il level design, sia per gli elementi che le arricchiscono. Ottime la maggior parte delle texture e la qualità con cui queste vengono accompagnate da effetti visivi come lo sporco o l’acqua, che si rivelano oltremodo funzionali dato che aggrappandosi a sporgenze umide sarà più difficile mantenere la presa.<br /> I panorami visibili lasciano talvolta a bocca aperta, specialmente quando vengono valorizzati dagli spettacolari effetti di luce; proprio la luce darà però il suo meglio nelle ambientazioni chiuse, nelle quali il filtrare dei raggi solari o gli effetti di fari e torce illuminerYears in maniera realistica le pareti e la protagonista.<br /> Il modello 3D di Lara è notevolmente migliorato in quanto a definizione e non è vittima di facili esagerazioni sulle forme, risultando sexy, ma armonico e realistico, nonostante le texture della pelle sarebbero potute essere meno plasticose. Le animazioni dei movimenti e delle acrobazie sono molto fluide, anche se potreste notare delle sbavature, come quando ci solleveremo in piedi su assi sospese notando che i piedi non toccano per nulla la sbarra, ma soprattutto quando spostandoci sbatteremo contro degli ostacoli; in qualche fase di salto è peraltro capitato di incastrarci con i piedi nello scenario. Fortunatamente facendo qualche movimento o cambiando arma ci si è sbloccati senza grossi problemi.<br /> Durante l\'azione di gioco è molto gradevole notare che sulla pelle della fanciulla si accumulerYears sporco e terra durante il prosieguo dei livelli, cosi come la stessa rimarrà lucida ed umida qualche minuto una volta usciti dall’acqua, riflettendo la luce solare in maniera dinamica e generando ombre credibili.<br /> Restando in tema, l’acqua è molto ben realizzata: anche in questo caso gli effetti di luce hYears un ottima resa ,e la sensazione di essere nelle profondità marine è resa in maniera eccellente.<br /> <br /> Purtroppo sono ancora presenti i problemi storici legati alla gestione della telecamera. Spesso, purtroppo, capiterà di dover effettuare i canonici salti nel buio, specialmente quando ci troveremo aggrappati a muri e sporgenze.
