Wuthering Heights (1939) :

Dal romanzo Cime tempestose (1847) di Emily Brontë.
Grande amore, avvelenato dalla vendetta, tra il selvaggio Heathcliff,
trovatello adottato dal padre di Cathie, e la bella, intrepida ragazza che sposa
un ricco proprietario della zona, ma muore d\'amore per il fratellastro.
La selvaggia potenza del romanzo della Brontë è un po\' troppo addomesticata.
Gli sceneggiatori ne hanno impoverito l\'intensità e attutito il romanticismo gotico,
ma il film rimane egualmente memorabile. Robusta interpretazione di Olivier.
7 nomination e 1 solo Oscar alla fotografia di Gregg Toland.

Essendo una grande appassionata di film horror non potevo non condividere con voi il primo episodio della trilogia più orrorifica della storia del cinema giapponese, \"Ringu\", per l\'appunto.
Lo metto a disposizione in qualità DVD, in modo che possiate gustarlo in alta risoluzione e quindi apprezzarlo ancora di più.
Se questa release andrà in porto posterò anche \"Ringu II\" e \"Ringu 0\", sempre in DVD.

Trama:

La storia s\'incentra su una leggenda che circola fra gli studenti delle scuole inferiori giapponesi.
I ragazzi parlano dell\'esistenza di un video, che appare a notte fonda nelle reti televisive private, in cui un\'inquietante figura femminile minaccia chi lo vede.
Subito dopo la fine del breve video il telefono squilla ed una voce alla cornetta lo condanna a morte entro una settimana.
Quando le prime morti iniziano a verificarsi, una giornalista s\'interessa del bizzarro caso e comincia ad indagare....

Il film è vietato ai minori di 14 anni.

Recensione: The Ring 2
The Ring è stato forse il film horror più interessante degli ultimi anni, autentico apripista al cinema giapponese di genere in occidente, e ha stimolato negli Stati Uniti la produzione di remake di tali prodotti nipponici (si pensi al recente The grudge).
In questo secondo episodio ritornano le vicende ed i personaggi lasciati in sospeso, ed in particolare vediamo la giornalista Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) nel tentativo di ricostruire una vita con il figlio Aidan (David Dorfmann) in una piccola cittadina di provincia americana. Ma un giorno scopre persino in quella località sperduta una delle videocassette maledette di Samara, e comprende che l\'incubo non è finito.
Ring 2 vede alla regia Hideo Nakata, già dietro alla macchina da presa negli originali Ringu e Ringu 2, scelta particolarmente felice viste le sue capacità e l\'indubbia esperienza acquisita sul campo. Nelle note di produzione si può leggere che esattamente sette giorni dopo l\'inizio delle riprese hanno iniziato a verificarsi strani incidenti molto somiglianti agli eventi del film. Ad esempio gli uffici di produzione sono stati trovati allagati a causa dello scoppio di una tubatura. Evento non certo soprannaturale, ma interpretato come un presagio data la centralità dell\'acqua nell\'economia della pellicola. Questo ha spinto il regista a richiedere la celebrazione di un rituale di purificazione Shinto. Tuttavia gli incidenti non sono cessati, e i membri della troupe hanno iniziato a diventare piuttosto superstiziosi, interpretando questi segni come degli avvertimenti della bimba prigioniera del pozzo.
Per quanto riguarda il film vero e proprio, nonostante le evidenti variazioni ritornano i meccanismi che avevano caratterizzato il primo The Ring. Rachel si trova dinanzi ad una serie di indizi che le permetteranno di ricostruire ulteriormente la vicenda di Samara fino ad una apparente risoluzione. Al contempo il legame tra Aidan e Samara si rivelerà più forte che mai, facendo crescere la tensione tra madre e figlio. Ma molto del mistero e della magia della storia è stato però già abbondantemente speso nel primo episodio, ed è difficile che lo spettatore si trovi in situazioni che non siano in qualche modo familiari. Questo in fondo era il rischio principale nella realizzazione di un sequel dalla trama così caratterizzata, e forse non era davvero possibile ottenere di più. Ciò non di meno coloro che avevano apprezzato il predecessore non resteranno delusi, soprattutto grazie al lavoro di Nakata e all\'interpretazione di Naomi Watts.
Bisogna aggiungere che la trama lascia molti spazi bianchi nel passato di Samara che potrebbero essere eventualmente sfruttati per un terzo episodio. Ma temo sarebbe un film solo per veri fan.

Sei mesi dopo i terribili eventi che li hanno scossi, Rachel e suo figlio Aidan hanno traslocato per fuggire dai fantasmi dei loro ricordi. Ad Asheville, una tranquilla cittadina tra le montagne, Rachel trova lavoro nel giornale locale, dove conosce il reporter David Rourke. Ma la scoperta dell\'omicidio di un ragazzo del luogo, che Rachel collega alla misteriosa videocassetta, la spinge a cercare di scoprire la verità. Quando è vicina alla soluzione, Aidan si ammala e viene portato all\'ospedale, privo di sensi e ferito. Sarà di nuovo la vendetta di Samara? E\' giunta la fine della loro esistenza?...

\"Ambientato nell\'Oregon, \'The Ring 2\' contiene qualche allusione alle tragedie greche, ma lo spettatore ignaro non se accorgerà nemmeno: ebrei e cristiani troveranno invece riferimenti biblici, ma con gli stessi risultati. Quanto a Naomi Watts, con ruoli come questi (o come quello di \'21 grammi\') si farà una fama sinistra.
