System Shock is an action role-playing game developed by Looking Glass Technologies and published by Origin Systems. Released in 1994, the game is set aboard the fictional Citadel Station in a cyberpunk vision of 2072. Assuming the role of a nameless hacker, the player attempts to hinder the plans of a malevolent artificial intelligence. Unlike other first-person games of the time, System Shock features true 3D environments, allowing the player to look up and down, climb, duck, jump, and lean to the side. Critics praised System Shock and hailed the game as a major innovation in its genre. It was later placed on multiple hall of fame lists. Despite its technological feats and critical acceptance, System Shock was outsold by its contemporaries. A sequel, System Shock 2, was released by Looking Glass Studios and off-shoot developer Irrational Games in 1999. This is a CD version. Works with DosBox.

not my rip here. just sharin'. i got this from a russian site. couldn't really understand much from what i've read there, but it appears this movie was ripped by a russian dude called vicpryl. i gave it a couple of fixes, though: aspect ratio was not 16/9 but it was close. i took the original 704x416 frame and made it 704x400 for perfect widescreen result. i've also removed the russian audio track and kept the english one, as vicpryl included both in his rip and i'm still having trouble tryin' to understand why the hell would someone want to have michael caine's performance ruined by some russian fella pretending to be a russian-speaking-caine! hope you enjoy. info - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100602/

System Shock 2 (commonly abbreviated SS2 or Shock 2) is a science-fiction horror-themed video game, designed by Ken Levine, which incorporates elements commonly seen in first-person shooters and role-playing games. The title was developed by Irrational Games and Looking Glass Studios as a direct sequel to the seminal 1994 PC game System Shock, and was released on August 11, 1999 by Electronic Arts. The game takes place on board an adrift starship in a cyberpunk vision of the year 2114. The player assumes the role of a lone soldier who tries to stem the outbreak of a genetic infection that has devastated the ship. Gameplay mainly consists of first person action and exploration, while a role-playing system allows the player to develop unique abilities and traits. Win 98, Xp, Vista Any ATI or Nvidia works :-) Mount with Daemon Tools / burn to cd Install, add update patch and no cd. Optional extras in folder "03EXTRAS" (Manual install; maps, custom campaign etc) If you run into problems be sure to try compatibilty mode under Vista or XP. Ive tried this under Vista x64 without UAC / compatibilty mode and hope that you also can run it. Dont forget the update and no cd !
