Sarebbe banale e inutile soffermarsi a discutere degli eccellenti effetti visivi curati dall’infallibile Industrial Light & Magic nel parlare dell’undicesima avventura cinematografica dell’equipaggio della nave spaziale più famosa della celluloide, la quale, sotto la regia di J.J. Abrams, torna alle sue origini.
Proprio così, con un notevole cast comprendente anche Bruce Greenwood (\"Il mistero delle pagine perdute\"), Karl Urban (\"Doom\"), Simon Pegg (\"Star system-Se non ci sei non esisti\") e Winona Ryder (\"Edward mani di forbice\"), il creatore della popolare serie televisiva \"Lost\", nonché autore del riuscito \"Mission: impossible 3\", ci porta a conoscenza del giovane James Tiberius Kirk, ragazzo ribelle dell’Iowa che, con le fattezze di Chris Pine (\"Baciati dalla sfortuna\"), viene ammesso a bordo dell’avanzatissima astronave U.S.S. Enterprise, su cui si trova anche l’ingegnoso e determinato Spock, originario del pianeta Vulcano dalle inconfondibili orecchie a punta, interpretato dal televisivo Zachary Quinto (“C.S.I.”).
E, senza esitare, ci trascina ancor prima dei titoli di testa in un tripudio di azione e meraviglie pirotecniche nel raccontare la ricerca per la propria identità attuata dai due protagonisti, alle prese con il malvagio Capitano Nero sotto il cui trucco si nasconde Eric Bana (\"Hulk\"); tra combattimenti e viaggi nel tempo che, non privi di rimandi alla saga \"Star wars\" (la sequenza con creature mostruose sulla neve sembra un chiaro omaggio a \"L’impero colpisce ancora\"), finiscono per coinvolgere anche il mitico Leonard Nimoy, ovviamente nei panni dell’originale Spock, apparso per l’ultima volta in \"Star trek 6: Rotta verso l’ignoto\", del 1991.
Con un taglio generale non troppo distante dal teen-movie fantascientifico, testimoniato anche dalle abbondanti e indispensabili dosi d’ironia; mentre l’ottimo montaggio di Maryann Brandon e Mary Jo Markey (coppia già al servizio del citato \"Mission: impossible 3\") impreziosisce circa 127 minuti di visione che, caratterizzati da un incalzante ritmo narrativo, sembrano strizzare in parte l’occhio al miglior Michael Bay (non a caso, gli sceneggiatori Roberto Orci e Alex Kurtzman sono gli stessi di \"Transformers\"), rivelandosi capaci sia di soddisfare i fan storici del mito nato dalla mente di Gene Roddenberry nel 1966, che di abbracciare il gusto delle nuove giovani generazioni affamate di emozioni.

Right source.....audio was good,nice clean and can hear everything

fine......even got decent bass levels to it...only
thing it might be a bit overpowering but nothing major.
The video even though really good,did have several faults....some non

fixable.
There was way too much red and also it was too bright......and the non

fixable ,the bloody cropping :( real shame really
as it\'s heavily cropped on the top and on the side....but take nothing

away from it it was still a great cam
