Ora X2 è pronto a guadagnarsi lo scettro dei simulatori spaziali e diciamo che i presupposti ci sono tutti.<br /> Il fulcro del gioco è la possibilità di intraprendere un\'attività commerciale come già ci avevano abituato titoli come Elite, Privateer. Insomma muoversi da una stazione orbitante all\'altra acquistando ad un prezzo basso per poi rivendere ad un prezzo maggiorato. Le leggi commerciali che fYears oscillare i prezzi sono complesse e sono generalmente legate alla famosa legge della \"domanda e offerta\". Il progetto della Egosoft è davvero ambizioso perché le possibilità sono davvero infinite: potremo costruire delle fabbriche, migliorare la nostra vettura, acquistare stazioni orbitanti e costituire una flotta militare di vaste proporzioni ovviamente con lo scopo di espandere il proprio dominio.<br /> Tra i piccoli tocchi di classe, abbiamo la possibilità di importare foto e loghi per personalizzare il nostro personaggio o la nostra flotta, cercando di diffondere il nostro marchio in ogni angolo remoto dello spazio. Importante sarà anche la nostra reputazione che potremo incrementare partecipando a delle missioni secondarie nei panni del cacciatore di taglie o per esempio salvando dispersi, e vendicando torti subiti. La reputazione inoltre modificherà il nostro grado di apprezzamento presso le razze conosciute: se non saremo ben visti o addirittura odiati, non potremo entrare nelle stazioni orbitali e verremo attaccati a vista!<br /> I miglioramenti acquistabili per la propria astronave sono a dozzine e includono potenziamenti dell\'armamentario ma anche delle abilità difensive del proprio mezzo. Su questo aspetto X2 non si risparmia e regala al giocatore infinite possibilità di scelta. Quando poi guadagneremo un bel gruzzoletto sarà possibile acquistare una nuova possente astronave. Le dimensioni tra i vari mezzi sono impressionanti tanto che la nostra prima nave spaziale sarà un granello di sabbia se accostato ai grandi incrociatori stellari.<br /> La possibilità di costruire anche delle fabbriche permette di liberarsi, almeno in parte del lato commerciale. Queste installazioni cercherYears automaticamente le risorse e costruirYears le merci da noi desiderate. Attraverso una certa tecnologia potremo anche controllare a distanza le nostre fabbriche. Purtroppo manca un sistema per automatizzare la produzione secondo dei parametri generali.<br /> L\'universo di X2 è vastissimo ed è composto da differenti galassie, pianeti e abitanti.
