La formula adottata dal film è quella classica; si comincia dai titoli di testa in cui 007 spara nell\'obbiettivo, per proseguire con intrighi, belle donne, tanta azione e cattivo di turno.Il film non propone altro, e in fondo è questo quello che il pubblico in sala si aspetta; tutto è stato già visto decine di volte, già sappiamo che le donne che il nostro agente incontrerà saranno \"sedotte e abbandonate\", che il criminale di turno nel finale, in qualche modo, uscirà sconfitto, che vedremo le solite e bizzarre invenzioni che 007 avrà a disposizione, tutto è già scritto. Andare a vedere un film di James Bond è come andare sempre in vacanza nello stesso posto: si sta bene, ci si diverte ma si ha sempre il sapore del deja vu in bocca, e a volte, ci si annoia pure.Tutto il film è ingabbiato nei suoi cliché, che tanta fortuna hanno dato a questo personaggio; forse sarebbe giunto il momento di apportare qualche cambiamento alla serie, introducendo una nuova psicologia ad un personaggio che oramai è prevedibile in ogni sua azione. Certo, è improponibile rendere 007 una saga introspettiva, ma qualcosa di più di un film per bambini si può sicuramente fare. In ogni caso il film, nel suo genere, è sicuramente in buon prodotto: discreto nella sua componente tecnica, e convincente dal punto di vista del Cast.
