Kelly, cameriera presso una tavola calda, frequenta i corsi di danza diretti da Franco, un coreografo molto esigente quanto a disciplina ed allenamenti. Malgrado la sua passione per il ballo e la sua intenzione di sfondare ad ogni costo, Kelly ad un certo momento preferisce lasciare, anche per l’insistenza delle attenzioni del suo maestro. Un amico nero - Adam - la presenta a due ballerini di colore: sono Ozone e Turbo, due specialisti, due veri assi del “brekin”. Kelly, affascinata dal loro entusiasmo e dalla loro spontaneità, costituisce insieme a loro un trio, lavorando duramente per apprendere una tecnica ed uno stile che in lei non sono certo innati.
