A very unique orchestral score from early 70s Doctor Who.

Sampled from the isolated score on the DVD.

- Unmixed Soundtrack as presented on the DVD, no mixing, no stereo ambiance, just each and every cue as used on TV [Mono MP3 @ 160kbps]

NOTES:

With all the other soundtracks I have mixed, I've always tried to preserve as much of the original cues as I can by making the mix overlaps as short as possible - whilst still maintaining a sense of musical flow. This allows you to still isolate all the individual cues if need be.

But with 'The Silurians' all of the tracks played unmixed sounded dreadful. Some of the tracks played slightly mixed also sounded dreadful. Many of the tracks mixed very boldly made for much better listening, but made it impossible to isolate many short cues that personally I wanted access to. Some of these are so unique and 'usable' in other ways (my PC startup noise makes my cat give me a very worried look!) hence my decision to post the unmixed version as well.

When I was mastering the last track from Episode 7, I found that it cut out very dramatically (as a lot of the other cues do - some very sharp fades in there - eliminated with reverb in the mixed version). With the last track, it was like the last note and chord just weren't there and made for very bad listening. So I found a different cue that ended the same way without cutting out, and used this to 'restore' the final track. (I have left it as it was in the unmixed section of the album.)
