(Tutorial) How To Rip A DVD Using Gordian Knot

I\'ve seen so many bad DVD rips, that i decided to write a tutorial on how to properly rip a DVD movie
with the Gordian Knot Rip Pack. Most of the people are afraid of it because of all the detailed options that the program has, but after you get the hang of it, it\'s really quite easy. This tutorial will help you to grasp how the program works and at the same time learn some of the basics of how the encoding process works . It\'s a pretty detailed tutorial, so don\'t worry, the chances of straying from the goal are quite slim. The tutorial is written in .pdf fromat, so you would need to have some sort of a .pdf reader in order to view it.

PS: I misspelled the movie in the Example, the name of the movie is \"Shooter\", not \"Shooters\". Sorry...

Auto GK è un programma gratuito che permete di trasformare un film in DVD in un file (o più file) in formato compresso DivX o Xvid. Utilizzare Auto GK è piuttosto semplice per cui anche i meno esperti possono realizzare la compressione. Chiaramente l\'utente deve specificare qual è il film da comprimere, selezionando il file e quindi procedere a selezionare la lingua da includere nel file finalte e gli eventuali sottotitoli.

AutoGK Auto Gordian Knot description
THE tool for DVD-2-XviD/DivX conversion
A very simple and powerfull tool for making dvd rips.
AutoGK comes with almost all that you'll need to create excellent quality backups of your DVDs.

This program puts the VOB files onto your hard drive, and in the process breaks the encryption and Macrovision protection which DVDs have, and which is illegal in many countries. You'll have to get it and install it yourself.

But the AutoGK Installer will install everything else that you need. Just designate a folder for the installation, and everything will be taken care of. Optional programs include the XviD Encoder, AviSynth, and VobSub.

If you already have the most recent versions of them, then you don't need to install them again. If you don't already have them, aren't sure if you have them, or have no idea what they are, then go ahead and install them. You'll need them for your encoding.
