Clay Miller (Jared Padalecki) letar efter sin försvunna syster och hamnar i ett ödsligt skogsområde i närheten av den legendariska platsen Crystal Lake. Bakom ett mossbevuxet träd hittar han en fallfärdig gammal stuga, men huset visar sig inte vara det enda som legat gömt i skogen. Och trots att Clay varnas av både polis och lokalbefolkning fortsätter han att söka efter sin syster Whitney (Amanda Righetti). Han får oväntat hjälp av Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), en ung kvinna som tillsammans med sina collegekompisar rest till Crystal Lake över helgen. Men den upptäckt de båda gör är värre än de kunna förställa sig i sin värsta mardröm. Föga anar de att de trängt in i det skogsområde där en av filmvärldens mest skräckinjagande figurer regerar. De står i begrepp att möta den ökände mördaren som härjar i Crystal Lake - Jason Voorhees - och han är utrustad med en sylvass machete.

Tecnicamente parlando, nulla da eccepire, con un ottimo video privo di evidenti difetti ed un audio italiano multicanale 5.1 un pelo frusciante, ma comunque valido. Note poco liete invece sul fronte dei contributi extra, dove troviamo uno speciale sul film di soli 5 minuti, un paio di trailers, spot televisivi ed una carellata di titoli della serie horror targata “Teensblood”.
Questa edizione accontenterà solamente gli amanti dell’azione e, forse, i fans del vecchio Jason, ma lascerà molto amaro in bocca per la quasi assenza di approfondimenti sul personaggio. TRAMA (Italiano)

Set way in the future, Earth is no longer inhabitable, so humans have colonized in outer space. One colony receives two cryogenically frozen bodies, and when they defrost them, one of the bodies turns out to be.....who else? Jason Voorhees.
