Empire Earth is a new game from classic gaming company Sierra. I consider it to be most comparable to such game milestones as Age of Empires, Settlers and Civilisation. Empire Earth is very much alike those games, but there are a lot of differences too. However, it is my firm belief that the creators of Empire Earth were strongly influenced by those games, which you probably will notice if you???re playing this one. It???s strategic game, and it starts off back in teh stone age. From there, your assignment is to build a successful civilisation, with all the dangers and hardships that includes taken into account. The game intends to be historically correct, but I must admit I have my doubt in some areas. As mentioned, it all starts off in the stone age, the first epoch of Empire Earth, and from there you work yourself on through the bronze age, later on to the Roman Empire, The Medieval age and finally you reach the modern age and even the future. As the title hints, this game is mostly about fighting wars and conquer new lands. That is understandable because that???s what kids like nowadays; fighting, killing, winning. As to the historical aspect, I can???t swear to the truthfulness of everything, but overall I do find it believable. Many of the historical warlords are in the game; Yamamoto, Napoleon and General MacArthur for example. The graphical aspect meets the expectations but no more than that. All fans of the above mentioned games and strategic games in general have to try this one. I don???t think it???s the best one to come out to this date but certainly not the worst either.
