Blind Faith Loyalty 05:45 ______________________________________________ Formed out of the ashes of Pittsburgh tech-thrashers Sinning Is Our Savior, Crown the Lost was created by former Sinning rhythm guitarist David E. Gehlke in April of 2005. Hoping to expand upon the capable technical and melodic aspects of his former act, Gehlke would soon be joined by lead singer Chris Renaldi, whose clean vocal delivery would be the perfect match for Gehlke???s fledgling compositions. Burdened by the lack of a steady and proper lineup, the duo would eventually re-enlist the services of former Sinning members Joe Bonaddio (lead guitars/vocals), Ryan Eicheldinger (bass) and newcomer Kevin Antonacci~!(drums). (Note: Rice has since been replaced by Jordan Villella). With a full lineup in tact, the band laid the groundwork in the spring of 2006 for what would become their debut album, Reverence Dies Within. Recorded under the watchful eye of producer Eric Klinger (Pro Pain), Reverence Dies Within encompasses most of the heavy metal spectrum, but eludes any convenient subgenre tag. Although thrash metal is the primary focus, the band???s usage of flowing melodies, extreme metal drumming and harmonized vocals lends to a sound that is both succinct and memorable, a sound that is even more palpable considering the direct nature of many of the album???s nine tracks. Buoyed by the overwhelming response to Reverence Dies Within, Crown the Lost will continue to support the album with a slew of live shows in and around the Pittsburgh area for the better part of 2007.
