The player takes on the role of a god ruling over an island populated by various tribes. The player\\\'s control over the island is manifested in the Hand, an animated on-screen hand which can move or throw people and objects, tap houses to wake their occupants, cast miracles, and do many other things. Use of the keyboard and buttons in the game is purposely low; to add to the sense of realism, the (usually) mouse-controlled hand can perform every function in the game. In later patches, the Hand can also be controlled by an Essential Reality P5 Glove, a consumer-level virtual reality glove that is no longer for sale.

The concept of the game is that the player is a god, called from heaven to help those who invoked the player. However, the player is not an omnipotent monotheistic style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to the player\'s good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, the player\'s physical representation in the world, who takes the form of an anthropomorphic cow, lion, ape or wolf, and with an unlocker, a tiger. It can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona reflecting the player\'s actions. Creatures help the player in most of the player\'s decisions and represent the player\'s god.

I The Hives (in inglese \"L\'orticaria\") sono un gruppo musicale Garage punk formatosi a Fagersta, Svezia nel 1993. Gruppo caratterizzato da forti influenze Rock and Roll e dalla peculiarità di vestire sempre in bianco e nero. Sfociano con successo in Inghilterra e in America tra il 2000 e il 2002 per poi ottenere riconoscimenti negli altri paesi in Europa. In particolare in Italia “Two Timing Touch And Broken Bones” dell’album del 2004 “Tyrannosaurus Hives”(che negli Stati Uniti viene pubblicizzato anche al David Letterman Show con l\'interpretazione di Walk Idiot, Walk) riscuote ottimi consensi.

Formatisi nel 1993, debuttano con l’album “Oh Lord! When? Hour?” nel 1996, nell\'estate del \'97 esce \"Barely legal\" dove spicca la canzone \"a.k.a. I-D-I-O-T\". L\'album che riscosse il primo vero successo fu \"Veni vidi vicius\" nel quale si trovano le hits “Main Offender” e “Hate to Say I Told you So”. Nel 2001 pubblicano in Inghilterra la compilation “Your New Favourite Band” con i migliori pezzi del gruppo. A questo album sussegue un tour e una ri-pubblicazione in USA degli album precedenti.Nel 2007 il gruppo ha prodotto una canzone intitolata Throw It on Me insieme a Timbaland. La canzone è pubblicata nell album di Timbaland Shock Value. Nel periodo natalizio del 2008 la band ha pubblicato il singolo \"A Christmas Duel\" assieme alla cantante Cindy Lauper, tuttora ascoltabile liberamente nel sito del gruppo.

Il loro rock è distinto da arrangiamenti rapidi e a tratti grezzi, metallici influenzati dal punk e dal garage anche per quanto concerne voce e testi.

L\'album è stato pubblicato il 13 ottobre 2007 negli Stati Uniti e il 15 ottobre in Gran Bretagna. Avrebbe dovuto essere pubblicato il 9 ottobre in Gran Bretagna, ma per motivi ignoti la data è stata posticipata.

Il primo singolo è Tick Tick Boom, pubblicato il 14 agosto negli Stati Uniti e il 24 settembre in Gran Bretagna.

La band ha detto di aver registrato 30 canzoni per questo album (sette di queste con Pharrell Williams come produttore), e di aver successivamente scelto le migliori. Sperano di poter usare almeno alcune di queste canzoni come b-sides.

La tracklist ufficiale è stata pubblicata sul sito tedesco della band il 13 settembre.
