Come non protagonista, il supporto sonoro è uno strumento attraverso il quale la cineasta e gli sceneggiatori strutturano la narrazione. Riuscita la scelta di adottare una musica \"pensata\". O meglio una deformazione sonora soggettivata dalla mente del bambino capace di armonizzare i molteplici suoni della Grande Mela in un unico spartito virtuale. Non è un caso che nella pellicola ci siano molti rumori ed effetti sonori. La loro funzione, essenzialmente realistica, fugge il suggestivo per guidare il narrativo.<br /> Estremamente deboli, invece, la raffigurazione del lato povero dell\'America e il legame tra figli e genitori. Il primo punto, che dovrebbe fare da sfondo al secondo, viene trattato in modo sommario e sbrigativo comunicando un senso di estraneità alla storia ma soprattutto alle paure di un undicenne appena arrivato in una metropoli dai mille pericoli. L\'altro aspetto difficilmente trova una propria giustificazione.<br /> La reciproca ricerca tra padre-madre-figlio, fortemente mossa da elementi magici e misteriosi, trasmette a chi guarda un senso di non appartenenza che non giova all\'equilibrio della pellicola. At the same time, Lyla and Louis both begin to play music again and Louis has been in New York. Because of his perfect performance, Evan is granted an opportunity to play his music in the central park in front of thousands of people. There are totally three composers and he is feathered last, in fact, his mother is the second one. As Evan is directing the orchestra to play his rhapsody, Lyla and Louis come to the concert following the music again. In the Juilliard school, he receive the normal education but his genius makes him brilliant and created his composition--August Rhapsody in C major. At the same time, Lyla and Louis both begin to play music again and Louis has been in New York. Because of his perfect performance, Evan is granted an opportunity to play his music in the central park in front of thousands of people. There are totally three composers and he is feathered last, in fact, his mother is the second one. As Evan is directing the orchestra to play his rhapsody, Lyla and Louis come to the concert following the music again. The family get together finally!
