The title character is a tall, latex-clad secret agent from the nation of Monica, skilled in assassination and acrobatics. Her mission is to infiltrate the strongholds of the neighboring country of Bregna, which is led by her sometimes-nemesis and sometimes-lover Trevor Goodchild. Monica apparently represents a dynamic anarchist society, while Bregna embodies a centralized, scientifically planned state — referred to on one occasion as a republic by Goodchild. The names of their respective characters reflect this: Flux as the self-directed agent from Monica and Goodchild as the technocratic leader of Bregna. Although Bregna is shown to be repressive, in the first full-length episode: \"Utopia or Deuteronopia?\", Clavius, the president deposed by Goodchild, is described by a questioning journalist as having been democratically elected. In the same episode, an upper house of parliament is also mentioned by the character Gildemere.<br /> The visual style of Æon Flux was deeply influenced by the figurative paintings and drawings of the Austrian artist Egon Schiele. Other key influences on Æon Flux can be found in Japanese anime (especially grittier fare like Akira), and European comic works such as the work of Moebius (particularly in lineforms, color palettes, and figure characterizations). Æon Flux is often erroneously classified as an anime series. Graphic violence and sexuality, including fetishism and domination, are frequently depicted. In the featurette Investigation: The History of Æon Flux (included on the 2005 DVD release), Peter Chung says the visual style also was influenced by the limitations of the animated series Rugrats, which he worked on prior to Æon Flux and found highly frustrating in the limitations of what the characters could do.<br /> Although continuity is virtually non-existent in the series — and Chung made some adjustments for the DVD release to improve this — the primary unchanging elements in the episodes are the two main characters of Trevor and Æon. There is intentionally no continuity between the second season shorts. Oggi è un film in live action diretto da Karyn Kusama, presentato in anteprima italiana all\'ottava edizione del Future Film Festival di Bologna. Fulcro del film è Aeon Flux, combattente sensuale e letale che ha le splendide fattezze di una Charlize Theron in versione mora, in vacanza dai ruoli impegnati (Monster, North Country) che tanto ama e che tanti e importanti riconoscimenti le hYears valso a livello internazionale. Aeon Flux è la punta di diamante dei Monicans, il movimento di resistenza clandestino che si oppone al presidente di Bregna, Trevor Goodchild (Marton Csokas, già visto ne Il signore degli anelli e ne Le crociate), leader - insieme al fratello Oren (Jonny Lee Miller) - di un\'elite di scienziati che governa la città in modo permeante e totalitario. Siamo nel 2415 e la città di Bregna è rimasta l\'ultima testimonianza dell\'umanità sulla Terra, a causa di un virus micidiale che ne ha annientato il 90% della popolazione quattrocento anni prima. Trasformata in un\'oasi felice e sicura dai Goodchild, che trovarono l\'antidoto per curare la popolazione, Bregna vive nel suo apparente splendido isolamento, cinta da mura invalicabili che la separano dall\'esterno incontaminato e selvaggio. La fotografia luminosa e solare contribuisce, fin da subito, a instillare nello spettatore l\'idea di una società perfetta e ordinata, ben lontana da scenari di degradazione futuristica. A non credere a questo idillio, macchiato dalla sparizione di persone che scompaiono nel nulla, è appunto l\'organizzazione dei Monicans, i cui incontri e scambi informativi avvengono per via cerebrale sotto la guida del leader spirituale The Handler (Frances MacDormand). Il capo dei ribelli incarica Aeon Flux, colpita dalla perdita della sorella (Amelia Warner) assassinata a bruciapelo per motivi misteriosi, di uccidere Trevor Goodchild, introducendosi nel palazzo presidenziale grazie all\'aiuto della combattente Sithandra (Sophie Okonedo, Hotel Rwanda). Ma la macchina da guerra s\'inceppa nel momento fatidico e l\'imperturbabile agente non riesce a portare a termine la sua missione, perché qualcosa rimasto fino ad allora sepolto nella sua memoria torna prepotentemente a galla, facendole percepire l\'esistenza di un forte legame precedente con il suo bersaglio. Anche Trevor e l\'ambiguo fratello Oren rimangono esterrefatti di fronte alla donna e sembrano riconoscere in lei qualcuno che pensavano sparito per sempre. Parole di Gale Ann Hurd, recentemente produttrice dei comic-movies Hulk (2003) e The punisher (2004), che ora, insieme a David Gale, Gary Lucchesi e Greg Goodman, finanzia il lungometraggio Aeon Flux, scritto da Phil Hay e Matt Manfredi (responsabili, tra l\'altro, dello script de Lo smoking con Jackie Chan) ed ispirato ai personaggi creati da Peter Chung per l\'omonima serie d\'animazione trasmessa su MTV.<br /> Al centro della vicenda, ambientata nel 2415, troviamo una bruna e sempre più sexy Charlize Theron nei panni della soldatessa del titolo, ennesimo esempio di rivalsa femminista su celluloide, dopo la Kate Beckinsale di Underworld e, soprattutto, la Uma Thurman di Kill Bill, elemento di punta nella ribellione clandestina, al fianco del gruppo dei Monicans, contro i dittatori che governano Bregna, città cinta di mura e dominata da Trevor Goodchild (il Marton Csokas de Il Signore degli Anelli). \\\"Quando la sua famiglia viene sterminata dagli agenti del governo, Aeon Flux desidera solo vendicarsi, ma prima che possa portare a termine la sua missione, scopre dei segreti che cambiano tutto\\\", commenta la Theron. E, infatti, probabilmente invidiosa della Trinity/Carrie-Anne Moss di Matrix, Aeon Flux scalcia, spara e si ritrova costantemente coinvolta in acrobazie e frenetici combattimenti, tra innovative trappole (merita la citazione l\'erba tagliente) e scenari futuristici per mano dell\'Andrew McAlpine che si aggiudicò diversi premi per il lavoro svolto in Lezioni di piano di Jane Champion. Purtroppo, però, ogni volta che ci troviamo dinanzi a questo genere di operazioni, dal look a metà strada tra il videogioco ed il fumetto su pellicola, sembra di essere costretti a scrivere sempre la stessa, negativa Review. Infatti, a partire dall\'immagine di una pastiglia che scende nell\'esofago, la seconda fatica di Karyn Kusama, che esordì dietro la macchina da presa con Girlfight, del 2000, anch\'esso incentrato su una combattiva figura di donna, comincia a presentare i suoi difetti. Inutili, occasionali \\\"virtuosismi\\\" di questo tipo si lasciano subito interpretare come il maldestramente furbo tentativo di camuffare di originalità una vicenda in cui essa è del tutto assente, tanto che, a fine visione, degli innumerevoli, succitati scontri, rimane nella memoria soltanto un fracassone ricordo. Il tipico, rumoroso prodotto, quindi, privo di sorprese, adatto più ai maniaci del joystick che agli amanti della Settima Arte, nel quale troviamo anche coinvolti, ahinoi, la vincitrice del Premio Oscar Frances McDormand e l\'ottimo Pete Postlethwaite; quest\'ultimo nel ruolo di The Keeper, grottesco personaggio che farebbe un figurone in uno dei prossimi capitoli della saga horror demenziale Scary movie. So I decided to just buy the usa game and share it, since the people out there were to stupid to mention the video format of the game they uploaded. I got mixed reaction's playing this game however, as it seemed more of a kids game to me, and didn't really follow to well with the movie or animated series. like most things in the game are pre-set, for example you can only use your grappling hook on pre designated spots, which I thought was dumb, and it would have been better if they had given aeon flux more flexiblity and user free-style to preform your special stunts or grapple wherever you want, like tenchu has. Just my opinion though you might think differently, never the less here's the game. Probably ripped and good to go, Enjoy!
