But the classic cast is here (Gleason, Carney, Meadows, Randolph)
These "Honeymooners" skits are a little cruder than the later "Classic 39" sitcom most of us know so well. These were produced for live television, so no scenes could be reshot if anything went wrong. They were just part of an hour-long show, so they lacked the sitcom's rehearsal time. And Jackie Gleason & co. were just discovering how to make "The Honeymooners" work best -- its best trademark conventions hadn't set in yet. Moreover, unlike the later "Classic 39" sitcom, these skits weren't filmed at all, because this was live television. Instead, they were recorded in a crude precursor of videotape. So these LOST EPISODES don't look quite as good as the "Classic 39." But they're STILL brilliant, and hilariously funny.
Plot Summary

Plot Outline: A bus driver and his sewer worker friend struggle to strike it rich while their wives look on with weary patience.
Plot Synopsis: Ralph Kramden is a New York City bus driver who dreams of a better life. With his eccentric good friend, Ed Norton the sewer worker, he constantly tries crackpot schemes to strike it rich. All the while, his exasperated wife, Alice, is always there to bring him down to earth or to pick him up if he beats her to it. For as much as they fight, even dunderhead Ralph knows that she is the greatest and vice versa.
